Terms and conditions

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of Firecrest ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who you are contracting with

The Service is operated by Squared Sums Pte Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Singapore at 160 Robinson Road, #14-04 SBF Centre, Singapore 068914. Firecrest is a product name, not the contracting entity.

3. What the Service does

Firecrest generates draft posts for X. You describe what you are promoting and give us a few web addresses. We read those pages, work out the niche you write in, search X for recent public posts that perform well in that niche, and use an AI model to write drafts modelled on them. You review and edit each draft and decide what to do with it. Depending on your plan, you can set up more than one brand profile, each with its own description, drafts, and queue. You need an active paid plan to use the Service; see section 5.2.

You can copy a draft and post it yourself, or connect an X account and instruct us to act on it for you. At present that means publishing a post, immediately or at a time you schedule. Connecting an account authorises us to act on it only through the features you use. We publish only posts you select, and we act on the account for you alone. We read your profile details when you connect and once a day after that to keep them current; beyond that, we do not read, delete, or interact with anything on your account. If we add a feature that acts on your account in a new way, such as replying on your behalf, we will ask you to turn it on first.

You can withdraw this authorisation at any time by disconnecting the account. We publish nothing to a disconnected account, so a queued post that comes due while the account is disconnected fails. Disconnecting keeps your queue: if you reconnect the same account, anything still scheduled publishes at its scheduled time.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service and to create an account.
  • We sign you in by sending a one-time code to your email address, so you must give us one that works. Anyone with access to that mailbox can sign in as you.
  • You are responsible for keeping your email account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
  • One account per person. Do not share or resell access. A single account may hold several brand profiles and connect several X accounts, provided you are authorised to act for each of them.

5. Plans and payment

5.1 Billing

Stripe bills subscriptions on a recurring basis at the price displayed at checkout. We do not see or store your card details. Prices may change for future billing periods, and we will give you notice before they do.

5.2 Subscriptions

  • There is no free tier and no trial.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Cancelling stops future charges. It does not refund the period you have already paid for, except as section 5.4 allows.

5.3 What your plan includes

Your plan sets how many X accounts you may connect and how many posts you may schedule or publish in each monthly period. The post allowance is shared across all your connected accounts, and each brand profile uses one connected X account. Every account has the same rolling 24-hour limits on generating drafts and publishing posts, whatever your plan. The pricing page shows the current figures.

If you move to a plan that allows fewer accounts than you have connected, we delete nothing. You keep every draft on the accounts above the new limit, but you cannot generate new drafts for them until you deactivate or disconnect another account or move back to a larger plan.

5.4 Refunds

We may refund a payment within 14 days of the charge on a case-by-case basis. This does not affect any refund you are entitled to by law.

6. Drafts, your content, and ownership

You keep ownership of the text you enter and the drafts we generate for you. We claim no ownership of them, and we do not reuse them to produce content for anyone else. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content only as far as running the Service requires: to store it, send it to the providers listed in our privacy policy for processing, show it back to you, and publish it to your connected X account when you instruct us to.

When you give us a web address, you confirm you are entitled to have that page read and analysed. Our servers fetch each page you name and keep the text we extract from it only as long as the privacy policy describes.

7. AI-generated drafts

  • Third-party AI models write the drafts, and no human checks them. A draft can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or wrong for your audience. Read every draft before you use it.
  • We do not guarantee originality. We model drafts on public posts that perform well in your niche, so a draft may resemble existing text. You are responsible for making sure what you post does not infringe anyone's rights.
  • We make no promise about results. Nothing here guarantees engagement, reach, followers, or revenue.
  • You are responsible for what you publish, including complying with X's terms and rules and with any advertising or disclosure law that applies to you. That holds whether you post a draft yourself or instruct us to publish it. A post published through the Service is still your content, and X may remove it or restrict your account under its own rules.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes, or to produce or publish deceptive, harassing, or hateful content.
  • Impersonate a person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
  • Run coordinated inauthentic behaviour across accounts, such as operating a network of accounts to make a message look more widely held than it is. Scheduling posts to accounts you are authorised to act for is permitted.
  • Generate or publish content for X accounts you are not authorised to act for.
  • Submit content that infringes the rights of others, including intellectual property and publicity rights, or that violates applicable law.
  • Point us at web addresses you have no right to have analysed, or at systems you do not control.
  • Attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or compromise the security of the Service, or to overload it or bypass its limits.
  • Use automated means to access the Service except as expressly permitted.
  • Resell, redistribute, or wrap the Service in a product of your own.

Each generation costs us third-party fees, so we rate-limit generation. We may limit or suspend an account that uses the Service abusively.

9. Availability

We offer no service level agreement and commit to no uptime figure. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, or because a provider it depends on is unavailable: our X data provider, our AI provider, or our payment processor. We aim to answer support requests promptly but do not commit to a response time.

The Service reads X data through a third-party data provider. If a provider changes its terms, pricing, or availability, we may change or withdraw features. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp.

A scheduled post can publish late or fail. X may rate-limit or reject the request, the authorisation you granted may have been revoked or expired, the account may be disconnected or restricted by X, your plan may have ended, or the Service may be unavailable at that moment. We show you when a post has failed so you can retry it or post it yourself. We do not guarantee that a scheduled post is published at the requested time or at all, and we are not liable for a post that does not go out.

10. Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell account holders by email.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive activity, fail to pay applicable fees, or put the Service or its other users at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from your settings. The privacy policy describes what deletion removes and when. Deleting your account cancels your plan immediately, with no refund of the unused period except as section 5.4 allows.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. To the same extent, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or opportunity, including any arising from content you publish using the Service.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Squared Sums Pte Ltd and its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, and partners from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from content published through the Service (including posts we publish on your instruction), from web addresses you asked us to analyse, or from your breach of these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will announce material changes through the Service or by email, and change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection, including any right to bring proceedings in your local courts, that the law of the country you live in gives you and that a contract cannot exclude.

If you have a problem with the Service, contact us first. We settle most issues directly.
